Windows 10: I can't get my Windows DVD player to play my discs. I just had it downloaded.

I installed Windows 10 recently. It wouldn't play my cd/dvd discs. I installed the Windows DVD player today, but that won't play them either??

Ideally, the Windows DVD Player will play movies that are on optical discs. However, we will need the details requested below:

• Could you please provide more clarity on “will not play my DVD home movies”?
  
• What is the complete error message you receive?

burning disc on windows 10 to play on a dvd player.

I tried you suggestion, it did not work, it is good for someone who wants to burn photos, videos to a disc and play on a computer, did not play on my dvd player.
