    I can't install any antivirus, Windows Defender Service can't start.


    Hello, I tried to install an antivirus and the install process keeps closing without installing the software. I downloaded Malware Bytes and I had 70 issues. I removed them and restarted my PC. The security app is almost a blank page see below Windows Defender service says "<Failed to Read Description. Error Code: 1814 > " I can't figure out what's happening in my system. I did a sfc scannow and it did found some corrupted files. It fixed them and I restarted my pc again. Nothing changed...

    Defender AntiVirus

    There are 4 options under Defender. Two refer to AntiVirus; AntiVirus Network Inspection Service & AntiVirus Services. Under Startup Type these two are listed as manual and the Status column said Inspection Service is running. When I clicked on the Start
    button in Properties, I got an immediate message: "Win.. Def.. Anti.. Serv.. on local comp.. started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."
