Windows 10: I can't log in with any of the sign-in options, only my MS account password. Then I'm asked...

After I've changed my Microsoft account's old email to my new one a few days ago, all the sign-in options have disappeared from the lock screen, leaving me with my Microsoft account's password as the only option. After I enter it, it then tells me to set up a fingerprint like when I first bought my laptop which can get set up, but never actually shows up or works and then a PIN, but when I click set up, it says "Something went wrong", no matter how many times I retry. So I just skip it.I then try to set up a PIN/fingerprint+any the other sign in options from the laptop's settings after log

I've tried all of your suggested steps but when signing in still always get the message:

"That password is incorrect. Make sure you are using the password for your Microsoft Account. You can always reset it at account.live.com/password/reset".

I can log into Windows (10) with no problem once signed in.

A slight concern I have is that the sign-in screen displays my MS email address and requires me to enter my MS password. I work freelance and have to use the Surface Pro in public places a lot... this is probably paranoia but it would be possible to pick
up both just from watching me sign in (though you'd have to really want to, obviously).

Thanks for your comments anyway... I'd appreciate other suggestions if you have any.
