Windows 10: I can't make a new CD

I just got a new computer, so am learning how to use it.I downloaded some songs I had recorded myself, from 2 different CD's. Now I want to put them on a new CD and I keep getting a message that I need administrator permission to do that. How do I give myself permission?

We suggest that you perform these steps and check if the issue persists:

• Press "Windows" + "E" button on the keyboard.
• Go to "View > Navigation pane" and select "Show libraries".
• Now in the navigation pane, right-click on the "Music" library under "Libraries" and select "Delete".
• Now right-click on the "Libraries" and select "Restore default libraries".
• Now try to rip.

CD-ROM doesn`t work with win 10

  What is the make and model of the computer?
  

This might have occurred due to corrupted\outdated DVD\CD-ROM driver.

Let us try the following steps, and check if it helps.

Step 1: Try updating the DVD\CD-ROM drives from device manager.

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand DVD\CD-ROM drives.
• 
  Right click on the driver select
  Update Driver Software.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to check and install if there is any latest firmware update for DVD drive from the computer manufacturer.

New DVD/CD - Not Running

First check the bios ,see if it it is listed as a startup device.
if not then the mainboard is not recognizing it and you Should check the cables and connections.
Forget devices, open the Device Manager and see if it is there, check properties
un check "turn off this device to save power" (just for now)
also check for any errors.
second step if all appears good is to delete the dvd in the Device Manager with the drivers.
reboot and see if it shows.
