Windows 10: I cant remember my login password for windows 10 Local User login. Not Microsoft Login

I forgot my password to log into my Laptop, due to face recognition. But Windows 10 forces me to change my current password. I can not remember the password and the account is locked out. Please help.

Using login credentials is best practice, and is going to be more and more among the norms. You can bypass needing a password if you're NOT using a Microsoft account. But if you are, that's an online linked account...wouldn't make any sense to be able to automatically login to a sync'd account without credentials would it?

If you're using local accounts or non-domain accounts, you don't need to have a password to login. See link above, you'll be able to make the changes you need by following that, in a few minutes your frustrations will be gone. *Toast :toast:

is there anyway to stop windows going into the login screen wen i boot up and leave my pc for more then 10mins?i have no password set and im the only user!!

added new users to htpasswd, but cant login with their creds

im just doin some testing with a local webserver. i have one user: hybrid who can login fine and has for a while. But when i added a few users: usa, can with simple passwords using:

ubuntu # htpasswd passwd can

thats works fine. But I cannot login with these users to the web page, it just asks again for a username password.
