Windows 10: I can't reply to mails nor can I send mail with attachments

Discus and support I can't reply to mails nor can I send mail with attachments in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have MS mail and Mailbird.     I can't reply to mails nor can I send mail with attachments


    I have MS mail and Mailbird. I receive all mail but I cannot send mail with attachments from either nor can I reply to emails. I can send emails which have no history, ie they have no antecedent.

    It's infuriating. I have Windows defender which I turned off with no result. I've tried resetting MS mail with no result.

    I have several email accounts and it's the same with all of them.

    I'm at my wit's end.

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Mail not sending!

    Your last reference was to Mailbird- it seems you've reverted to Mail.

    The choice of pop3 or imap for receiving mail is up to you.. smtp is a different thing.

    Suggest you try sending mail with Mailbird

    I see that you are not able to send email with attachments in Outlook.

    Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

    Are you trying to send mail using outlook.com or the mail app?

    What is the size of the attachment you are trying to send?

    If you are using mail app then I would suggest you to follow the below step,

    Run the Windows App Troubleshooter

    I suggest you to download and run the app troubleshooter from the below link and check if it helps.

    If you send an email that exceeds the maximum email size limit of the recipient’s email provider then the mail with attachment will stay in the mailbox.

    For outlook.com and Hotmail the maximum email size limit is (10MB per file attachment).For Microsoft Outlook it is 20 MB.

    Windows Mail and Calendar won't send attachments

    I have the same problem with my Gmail e-mail account in Windows 10 Mail app.
    I managed to send attachments previously but now Mail app gives me an error: ,,Error in sending e-mail".
    I use Microsoft account in Windows 10.
