Windows 10: I can’t right click on the task bar in Windows 11

I have an accessibility issue which makes it difficult for me to click without any mouse motion whatsoever. In Windows 11, you apparently need to hold the cursor 100% still while right clicking the task bar in order to get the right click menu to come up. As mentioned, I can’t physically do that, so I need to right click 15-20 times in order to get it to actually register my right click. Windows 10 did not have this problem and was accessible to me… is there anything I can do to fix this? I would love to go back to windows 10, but it is a new computer that has only ever had windows 11, so I he

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?

Hello, I'm Louie, and I'm happy to help you today. Hope you're doing well and safe there. I'm sorry that you're having trouble with your apps on your task bar.

I would suggest to restart File Explorer, do the following:

Right-click on Start to open the WinX Menu

Select Task Manager

Locate Windows Explorer process

Right-click on it

Click on Restart.

Additionally, while in Task Manager, click the Details tab, and restart the following processes:

ShellExperienceHost.exe

SearchIndexer.exe

SearchHost.exe

RuntimeBroker.exe

If the steps above didn't work try this next step.

Right-click on the taskbar and select Task Manager from the options.

It will open the Task Manager. In the Processes tab select Windows Explorer and click on the Restart button at the bottom of the Task Manager window.

Windows Explorer along with the taskbar will restart.

If taskbar apps still not working, try to run sfc scan/DISM.
