    I can't set my display's resolution at 1920x1080

My monitor (an old late 2000's/early 2010's SAMSUNG S22A1000N) supports 1920x1080 as its highest resolution. So it's aspect ratio should be 16:9 I guess.

I had an NVIDIA GTS 450 graphics card which my computer repair guy removed because it was affecting my PC's performance speed (and replaced my Hard Disk too, the main cause of my PC's extremely slow performance). So the Monitor's blue-headed cable (for the lack of a better term) is connected to my Motherboard instead of my graphics card as it usually is. (My parents couldn't afford to buy a new graphics card just yet.) My PC doesn't seem to show my motherboard's model, but it's an old Gigabyte one my parents bought in 2011.

My PC's performing as fast as ever, but I can't set my monitor's resolution as 1920x1080. The highest two resolutions available are 2048x1536 (which sounds so weird I didn't even know such a resolution existed) and 1600x1200. I'm using 1400x1050 as I type this. It really hurts my eyes and gives me a minor headache.

I should probably contact my computer repair guy and ask this question to him, but it's already pretty late here so I thought I'd ask you guys and save the hassle by myself.

So do you guys know any possible solutions? I tried unplugging the monitor cable and plugging it back in, but that didn't work. I tried going to Device manager, clicked on Display adapters, "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" was the only thing that came down and I tried updating the driver (as suggested in many other similar questions like mine) but it says "the best drivers for your device are already installed".

I'd really appreciate any help here. Thanks in advance.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 set display resolution to 1920x1080?

Windows 10 set display resolution 1920x1080? From one minute to the next I lost the ability to change the monitor resolution. Now I have a Play-skool computer. Is there a better Windows driver that supports higher resolution? Everything was working
    fine?

    No 1920x1080 resolution option

My screen suddenly went from 1920x1080 to 1024x768 in the middle of running Windows 10.
Never had this problem before and the resolution was just fine on Windows 10 until this happened.
This would be easy to fix if the Resolution options in the Display menu had 1920x1080, but they only go up to 1280x1024!
I tried downloading and manually (Update driver > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer) installing the driver, even though Windows 10 insisted "the best driver for this device is already installed"!
I also tried switching to Generic PnP Monitor and back. Although this affected the resolution somehow, it didn't solve the problem.
And for the record: There is NO Advanced display settings option in the Display menu.
Why can't there just be a 1920x1080 resolution option?
    How do I fix this?

    Monitor: LG E2411 (Analog)
