Windows 10: I can't turn on 7.1 surround sound

Hello everyone, i purchased headset with virtual 7.1 surround system last year and it worked perfectly. Then something went wrong with left channel and i got same new headset but this time there is NO option for me to turn on 7.1 surround system. I updated drivers, tried everything but i can't find out what is missing. I searched on google, but there are no answers. Does somebody know what to do?

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

There are some reasons why you don't get the 5.1 surround sound. Some of these are caused by the type of audio format, how the file was encoded, if the file supports 5.1 surround sound and such. For us to determine what's causing
the concern more precisely, please provide information on the following:

• The type of file that you're trying to play.
• Troubleshooting steps done to rectify this concern

For now, before we go to a more in-depth troubleshooting, we suggest you run

audio troubleshooter. Look for Find and fix problems playing sounds.

Turn on 7.1 virtual surround sound checkbox is gone

Hi,

I see several post and i don´t have the option to 'Turn on 7.1 virtual surround sound' checkbox in Windows 10 sound panel control.

Really you can´t select this option in current branch 1903?
