  2. Windows 10 Mail App can't type in body

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft community.

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to run App troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    • Type ‘Troubleshooting’ in the search next to start.
    • Click on ‘View All’ on left side and select ‘Windows store Apps’.
    • Follow the onscreen instructions.
Method 2: I suggest you to follow below steps to run the power shell command for mail app issues.

    • Open an Elevated Powershell prompt by pressing the Windows Key, typing Powershell, then pressing
      “Ctrl+Shift+Enter”.
    • Paste the following command into Powershell and execute it:
    get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

  3. Windows 10 Mail App can't type in body

Thanks for your suggestion... but none of this seems to work... In fact, it made things worse.

In first place, I searched "troubleshooting" but don't have the option Start or Windows Store App: please give me a link or a step by step guide to find this...

The Method... not only didn't fix anything, it uninstalled TV and Video App! (Nothing have to do with Mail app)...

I can't type in the body of Mail

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. I can't type in the body of Mail :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
