Windows 10: I can't use my child account that I just created using Family Link

I bought a laptop for my son, he is 11 years old. While configuring the laptop I created an email for him while using the family link.But I am not able to sign him in, as when I am asked as a parent to give him consent to sign in, I always get the following error.

Child account missing from family safety account

Child option not present in Windows 10 Family Safety

Thank you for your response.

• Are you trying these steps in admin account or a local account?

The steps given in the link ahs to be performed in the Website and a invite has to sent from the web and check if it helps.

I suggest you to refer the link and check the Add a child account to your family and check
if it helps.

Child account without link to family account

My child's microsoft account has been "orphaned" - there is no link to a family. Because of this, she cannot change settings to her account. In the forum, it is advised to unlink from her existing family administrator and then add her to my family. This is not possible, as we end up in a loop "you cannot invite this person as they are already in another family". When following the steps suggested there, you can't unlink her from that family as she does not have a family connection. Also, when she tries to change anything it says "you cannot make these changes due to age restrictions".

In other words, her account has been orphaned without the option to add her to a family account. Please tell me how to "adopt" her account again. I have not been able to find any solutions for this problem.
