I could not download file on one drive, which I uploaded several years ago

I tried to download my file from one drive. The file was uploaded by me several years and it worked several times before. But this time it never work at all.

If I tried it with other working files, text file got downloaded instead of original file. The text file contains the string like "We detected that this file contains a virus that could harm your computer and stopped the download."

The file does not have virus and I need to use the file urgently.

How can I do for this?

    Thank you in advance.

    :)

  2. Several Years Ago

The files were probably YouTube clips I downloaded.
You want me to search through ~7500 videos to locate it/them? *Biggrin

It's also possible that I deleted those files.
If something "jerks me around" long enough, I'll often retaliate by "destroying" it.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a container issue (avi, mpg, flv, etc.).
It was related to some specific codec inside the container.

Off the top of my head, I suspect the problem files claimed to be flv.

Interestingly enough, my media streaming box behaves in the opposite manner.
It can only play one or two flv files, all the rest are reported to be invalid.

In any case, the issue may no longer be present as it occurred several years ago (at least).
Since the "fix" I used was to have MPC-HC and VLC installed, I have maintained that arrangement ever since.

I mostly use VLC for transcoding videos (mostly hardsubbing).
When it works, it only takes a few clicks to perform the task.

Unfortunately the updates for VLC often break that function (on my PC).
I actually have to reinstall v2.0.8, as v2.1.5 has transcoding issues.
It could be a PEBCAK issue, but since the documentation never updates with the same regularity, who knows if and/or how the config settings have changed from one version to the next.

All the other video editors I have tried:

    • Are stupidly difficult to use
    • Crash for no apparent reason (even with videos that seem to playback perfectly)
The video container doesn't really seem to matter (avi, mp4, mkv, etc.).
The crucial bits seem to be the video and audio codecs that were used to make the file.

You need to view the video container data using something like MediaInfo.
    Wikipedia - MediaInfo
    FileHippo - MediaInfo Download

It's another reason that I install the K-Lite Codec pack as MediaInfo is included in the bundle.

    Note:
According to Wikipedia, the standalone version may come with the Open Candy installer. *Eek

Increase image file upload size cap

Okay, first off, people need to learn to calm down. That includes the OP and everyone replying. I would consider this a very legitimate concern he raises and I'll explain why and what I would suggest to fix it to address all the concerns brought up.

I see three sides to this.
    • OneMoar wants to upload bigger files. Generally speaking, most users are lazy so this is a valid concern from a usability standpoint. While I do believe there should be an upload limit, there should be a separate storage limit.
    • Concern with bandwidth: I suspect that uploading images is a relatively small amount of bandwidth and that serving up said images is much more costly. So that would put emphasis on getting not putting if bandwidth is a concern.
    • Storage, a very real concern because a lot of images adds up quickly which adds a need to efficiently store said images.
So my suggestion (assuming W1zz wanted to do this out of kindness of his heart,) is this:
    • Increase upload limit to 10-20MB max.
    • Institute a storage limit of 2-5MB max.
    • Use PHP's GD library to convert uploaded images to JPEG or PNG.
      • PNGs tend to look nicer than JPEGs, but use more space. Probably preferable for smaller images or images requiring transparency.
      • JPEG tends to be very flexible when it comes to quality and the amount of compression. PHP's GD lib gives you control over this.
So long as the image is uploaded in a format GD can read which includes most commonly used formats, it may not be unrealistic to re-store it in a different format. It's also not unrealistic to use GD to scale the image as well.

I've used GD before and it's relatively easy to use and is relatively quick with respect to performance. I would be willing to write up some examples with respect to how to do it if it were welcomed.

Side note: I see a watermark, GD might be getting used already so this might not be a stretch if the CPU cycles are there to spare.
