Hi there if anyone can help at all I would really appreciate. I've spend hours and hours on this and still no fix.

I have a Microsoft surface pro 4 in which I deleted the windows boot manager option in the uefi and then to try and fix I did various things... created a recovery usb did repairs and tried reinstalling windows 10 but towards the end of the windows 10 installed another message poped up saying.

"Windows can not update boot configuration file"

I'm at a dead end st this point.

    :)

Boot Surface Laptop to USB - no Volume button

Hello Jimmy, I deleted windows boot manager on surface pro :)

This doesn't list the "Surface Laptop", but you might give it a try to see.

*Arrow Boot Microsoft Surface from a USB device

Otherwise, you should be able to use OPTION ONE below to boot from the USB from advanced startup.

  3. Surface Pro 4 always boots with “Windows Boot Manager” showing up

My surface pro 4 windows crashed yesterday and I did a reboot. since then, the Windows Boot Manager pops up every time I start my surface pro.

I only have 1 OS, and I open the System Configuration window, in the Boot tab, there is only one OS in the list - Windows 10 (C:\WINDOWS); Current OS; Default OS. And the Set as default button is grey out.

I even rest my system last night, but the issue remains the same.

How can I get rid of the Windows Boot Manager when booting the Surface?

    Thank you.
