Windows 10: I don't know where to look please help me Sysprep problem

Hi Guys,

first of all what a wonderful site i'm glad to able to join this forum and hopefully learn allot of you guys.

I hope you can help me with the following problem:

I'm creating a image for school project using ADK and sysprep also using the DISM command line to caputure the image.

But there is one Problem, the problem is that after the sysprep the desktop icons that i configure won't be saved.

Second one: the language bar that i placed in audit mode on the task-bar dissapear after i run the sysprep command.

Also set a default home page also that changed to default (msn.com) after the sysprep.

Please tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Im using: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB

EDIT: i set in the answerfile the copyprofile to true

Help me please I don't know what do!!

Hi everyone, well I have a problem with my nokia 3110Classic... I was listening to music when it turned off along...(The size of my Micro SD is of 2 GB)well I thought it's nothing but when I tried to turn on it, and it turn off again show me a white screen
and it turn on along and turn off along again...!! I can not use my nokia right now, everytime I want to turn on it it repeat the same thing it turn on and of for about 4 times and finally it turn off... I can not use anything I don't know what should I do
please... Help me! and can not go with my cellphone to a Nokia Care because here there's not a Nokia Care. I'm from Bolivia... Please if somebody can help me... I really need to use my Nokia and I can't!!.

Also I tried turn on my Nokia withoutthe micro SD of 2 GB but is the same!!... I'm confused!! please help me.

Alright so I have a Lenovo Ideapad that comes installed with Windows 10.

Recently (about maybe 2 weeks latest) whenever I open Chrome, it starts up and freezes before I can even click on the search bar saying "Not Responding", and then I have to manually close it from Task Manager.

So naturally, I tried uninstall/reinstall. Nope. Still the same.

I tried removing Chrome for Chrome Canary. Nope

I'm using Microsoft Edge which is running really slow but still works.

This is really bothering me so of course I tried using safe mode.

Oh hey, no internet! Of course, I forgot to select "with networking"!

So I choose that! And guess what?! I still get the regular Safe Mode with no internet access even though pressing 5/f5.

Thought maybe my keyboard jacked up. So I tried doing Windows + R -> Boot -> Safe Mode -> Networking.

Still get restarted into the regular Safe Mode w/ no internet.

So then I try system restore. Loads for like 30 minutes and nothing is happening. (Only went back a week)

Then I try to reset (tried both with files and remove all files). Both times I got "Problem with PC".

Idek what to do anymore.

I just want to reset my PC but alas I can't

 

CopyProfile=TRUE only works when you use /generalize switch with Sysprep. Desktop customizations not sticking indicates you might have forgotten to use the switch.

I see i put under the:="specialize"

so i have to put under generalize

No, that's wrong. Read my first post in this thread again:

CopyProfile must be in specialize pass but it is ignored if /generalize switch is not used with Sysprep command. Examples:

CopyProfile will copy current user (built-in admin) customisations when set TRUE:
%windir%\system32\sysprep\Sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:Z:\MyAnswerFile.xml

CopyProfile will be ignored even when set TRUE:
%windir%\system32\sysprep\Sysprep.exe /oobe /shutdown /unattend:Z:\MyAnswerFile.xml

The key is the /generalize switch, it must be used if you want to copy customisations to default user profile.

I see no other errors in your answer file except the time zone. For Windows, there's no such thing as Europe Standard Time. You have to use either W. Europe Standard Time or Central Europe Standard Time which are both the same UTC+1 (summertime UTC+2), or E. Europe Standard Time which is UTC+2 (summertime UTC+3).

 

GOT IT i was using this the whole time;
sysprep /oobe /shutdown /unattend:unattend.xml

Hi Kari,
i Tried your method it did save my desktop. but it didn't save the keyboard language indicator i installed 3 languages on this sytem and i want that on the taskbar so user can simply switch if they like to. I also see that my start customization has being change. i adjust this in powershell to make a mandatory start menu and added this in gpedit (policy) it seems that also has being change.

Also the search box doesn't open any idea why?

problem is now i have to format the system again and start over because the sysprep has already took place.
