If you mean to you use the pause update feature, I would like to let you know that the update would start from the beginning most probably.

When I pause an update and resume it does the downloading of the update starts completely from start ( newly) .

I don't think so and yea I got "deter updates" ticked on but I assume they install them after a month or two?

Ah, that would be why you don't see that option yet then. It's not available until build 15002.

Yeah, deferring updates is usually up tp 30 days for quality updates and up to 365 days for feature updates.

If you like, you could disable automatic updates, and manually check for and install them when wanted.
