I don't want Skype for Business

Since my Windows 10 desktop computer is a home computer, I do I uninstall Skype for Business? I uninstalled the regular Skype software shortly after I started using my new HP Desktop that came with Windows 10 pre-installed. Office was not included with Windows 10, so I installed the Microsoft Office software that I already owned.

Then, when Microsoft installed the Anniversary update for Windows 10, my Office that was a Microsoft program was removed! Microsoft never contacted me to see if I wanted a newer version of Office. I would have told them, because I only used Microsoft Word. They didn't ask me if they could remove my genuine Office program. I even gave them the Key Code from the back of package. Microsoft made no effort to contact saying they removed my property. I guess Microsoft couldn't be bothered to at least notify me about what they had done like any responsible business!

I called Microsoft and asked what happened to my program after the update. I was told my Office was too old, but it worked fine. Then I was told I needed to purchase a new Office program and they transferred my call to Microsoft's Sales Department. I was informed that the only Office program they had available was Microsoft Office Professional Pro 2016. I said I didn't want a business program, that I was retired and this was a home computer. None the less; the Microsoft Office Professional Pro 2016 was installed. I guess that's why I have Skype Business. The sales people were shocked that I asked for the Key Code number to prove I purchased the over inflated Office program.

So, can I uninstall the Skype Business portion from the office business software I was forced to purchase. If not how do I disable the Skype portion of Office?

I'll have to watch for an answer, or Microsoft can call me at 941-764-1246 with the instructions to uninstall or disable Skype, because I the Email account I use for my local account was closed in November of 2018 when we moved from North Carolina to Florida. The only account I have with Microsoft is an Administrative Account that does need a password. You locked me out of my computer 3 time between 1/22/19 and 3/6/19. Microsoft would not update my email information to reflect our new account and internet carrier, so I closed the account.

Hopefully you can tell what I need to do without asking a lot of questions because I've already explained the reason in the message.

Skype for business stuck at splash screen on startup

Just a suggestion... Do you have Microsoft Office installed? If you do Skype for Business is listed under your Microsoft Office folder in your start folder/ All apps. (that's where mine is listed) Right click on it, then choose Uninstall .

You Can install the regular Skype even if Skype for Business is installed.....I have both installed.

    Is Skype for Business Malware??

Skype for Business is not in the apps list. I think I deleted it yesterday. But the annoying SKYPE Sign In Sheet immediately jumps out at me after I log in.

Can you help me get rid of that? Thanks Greg.
