  1. I don't want to share files with another user on a local PC

I have a home computer that I recently built, I downloaded a few games and whatnot, and about a week later a created another user account so family members could use the same computer without seeing my files/apps and vise versa, but when I created the account, I've found that the desktops and apps are all shared! Even though I created a separate account! How do I make all the files and apps separate for each account?

    :)

  2. If I do a reset this PC, can I setup local user password network share

I was wanting to share files on the LAN but it requires a password. If I do a reset, sign in with a PIN and my Microsoft account, how can I setup a local user password so that I can share files on the LAN?

Lot of work just to do that one thing.

Anyone have a step by step? There is apparently an unknown local password set and it can not be changed. I login with PIN on all my PC.

  3. Setting "Everyone" in File Sharing to Work with Specific Users

Below is what I did to test the share access. The No. 1 settings granted everyone access. The No. 2 settings granted no user access, including the user on the "white list.":

  4. I don't want to share files with another user on a local PC

User can't copy files from network share. Permission error.

Seems security essentials wasn't liking the file for the user for some odd reason. Thanks for your suggestions.
