It's one day after the big launch and judging from the new posts/complaints on this forum (and think of how many people don't even know about these forums) - there are a lot of problems. From those few posts I've read, I think many of these problems are self inflicted.

Regardless, there are going to be endless calls, tweets, postings, and articles written on how crappy Windows 10 is. I'm sure a lot of people at Microsoft put a lot of effort into Win10. - I'm feeling sorry for them.
I think this is going to be messy.

    :)

  3. Is 8GB going to be max for N95? Is it going to be enough?

    I'm currently torn between N82 and N95.

I prefer N95 for it's bit bigger screen, but I've read that it might not be able to handle cards bigger than 8GB.

Is it likely, or is a firmware update going to fix that?

If not, how much space do Nokia maps take per country like UK?

I'd like to have my music, pictures, apps and maps on the same card, so I fear 8GB might not be enough, eventually...

    Regards,

    Lech

Meh, I think they are used to that, that happens after each new Windows... Since Windows 2.0 xD

Seriously, even OSes now considered "excellent" like XP and 7 suffered intense backlash from some users who, if Windows was developed from them, we would still be using Windows 1.0 or even MS-DOS (I know people who HATE GUIs and LOVE command line, maybe they have legitimate reasons for that, but isn't common)

In some cases they are right (because even when they were released, some bugs that slipped form the beta tests still crawl around, and it's a matter of time when they are fixed) but nothing is perfect.

All products (even apple lol) suffer backlash after an overhaul

Just read any forum about any product.
There are always complaints. People go very rarely to write how happy they are with something.

that, plus the fact that the only time people post stuff on line is to bitch and moan, not to compliment..
about 80% of the recent "first posters" on this forum, are folks who never even bothered to search for answers to their issues; they just expect to make a post on a forum, and have people rush their way to help them out, without even trying to solve their own problems on their own..
Its a sad society we have become, when most wont even try to solve their issues, they just expect/demand others to do it for them..

    Agreed. 100%

I for one am incredibly pleased with 10 thus far. I still wish I could get certain software to open exclusively on my left monitor, but I'll deal for now.

there are a few expected bugs with any os, and this one is no different..
my wife cant open the store, and alot of the live tiles wont open either, so that is annoying her a bit, but all things considered, once you get past the initial installation "issues", most things work really well!

Let me say that Win 10 is so new how without asking at places like this is one to learn. For instance I’m running Win 7 & 8 with the latest updates and Win 10 will not install because my Intel Core 2 does not enable some sort of security operation for the OS.
I asked and got the info from someone who knew the answer.

AFAIK you can install 32-bit version (but won't use more than 3GB 4GB RAM, which is what you have)

Reread my post, it has nothing to do with ram version, it's got to do with the processor not having a security feature.

Reread my post sloowly and carefully because I didn't said that in any way LOL.

Also you should check PAE and NX in BIOS as you CPU must support

I did try the 32 bit mode and I know it’s got a ram limit. The bios is set correctly. It’s the processor as shown in another thread. I’m presently running 7 & 8 with no difficulty.

a Core 2 should run 10 just fine. ALL core 2 have NX which is the only thing 10 requires
Windows 7 and 8 (.0) don't require PAE and NX. Check the BIOS. NX may have different names.

I will avoid derailing this thread *Smile

  15. Many people do not adapt well to changes. Some just enjoy complaining (a moderator on another forum seems to fit that category lol). And, as a previous poster said, a lot of times the problems are self inflicted.
