I got an incompatible driver error when trying to turn on the HVCI function on my computer.I tried updating the driver but it didn't work

I understand that you have encountered the problem that the main screen of the computer is black after the HVCI function is turned on, but the second screen is not black.



This function may have incompatibility problems in some cases. When HVCI is turned on, some programs will be detected to be incompatible and cannot be turned on, but some drivers are not detected to be incompatible, but after this function is turned on. There will be some unexpected situations. This situation is normal.



This is the official description of HVCI, which mentions that HVCI may record incompatible event logs.

You can press Win+S to search for "Event Viewer" and find the event log of this path to see if it matches the official description.

Applications and Service Logs\Microsoft\Windows\CodeIntegrity\Operational

Typically, events for HVCI compatibility events have Event ID = 3087

In the case of this incompatibility, it is recommended that you do not turn on this function temporarily, as many programs may have compatibility problems.

Can not enable Memory Integrity. Shows no incompatible drivers!

Thank you - that worked! Not sure how to fix these though if they are the reason memory integrity can not be turned on.

I think this situation may be caused by incompatibility of the graphics card driver.



You can check to see if any graphics card driver updates are available. Press Win+X to open device manager - display adapter - right click to update driver



If your computer only has a discrete graphics card, you can go directly to the official website of the graphics card to download the latest graphics driver for Windows 11 for installation.



If there is no graphics card driver update available for your computer, I suggest you keep the HVCI feature turned off for now.
