Windows 10: I have 16GB of RAM that is detected on my system but only 7.95GB is usable.

Discus and support I have 16GB of RAM that is detected on my system but only 7.95GB is usable. in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I just got an 8GB RAM stick today and I plugged it into my PC.     I just got an 8GB RAM stick today and I plugged it into my PC. My PC detects the extra 8GB of RAM, but simply wont put it to use for some odd reason. Can someone help me with my issue please?     usable RAM

    I have 16GB RAM but it indicates only 1.98GB usable. How do I make all 16 usable?

    I've upgraded my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with 8GB RAM to Windows 10 Pro x64. But after upgrade to Windows 10 System Properties displayed that RAM detected is 8GB, but only 6,9GB usable. Why windows 10 x64 only detect 6,9GB RAM? In windows 7 8GB RAM detected
