Is there away to increase the resolution??? i just bought a new desktop to match my monitor asus mx 34vq. my desktop is the lenovo ideacentre 5i mini. graphics card is the intel 630. I'm surprised that windows doesn't recognize the higher resolution. i have updated the drivers and have the most recent windows 10 update as well.

    :)

    have 2 monitors both 2560 x 1440

have 2 monitors both 2560 x 1440 and the system will only allow one monitor to be 2560 by 1440 and the other only allows me to set to 1920 x 1080

    - What brand and model monitors and graphics processor ?

If your monitors are a 120/144/165Hz refresh rate model, and connecting the second monitor allows a 1440p resolution

when using the DisplayPort cable while the other monitor is disconnected, your
HDMI cable may be an older version that is

not capable of 1440p over 60Hz refresh rate.

Some monitors/TV's will also restrict the limit over multiple displays.

If you have an Dual Link DVI
cable, that should run 1440, but I believe you would be limited to about 75-85Hz refresh rate.
