I have a backdoor Trojan (malware)

I have a backdoor Trojan (malware) on my computer and I couldn't be bothered to reformat my PC until the opportunity was given to me in windows 10. I still want to keep my PC but I want the malware to be completely gone, so in my situation would cleaning my drivers and removing all files be the better option? Thanks - Apollo

    :)

Trojan: Win32 / Skeeyah.A RFN why not delete?

"If you suspect you’re infected with a backdoor trojan, the first thing you should do is
disconnect from the Internet to protect yourself, and others."

Please read this description of a backdoor trojan to see what all they're capable of and what you should do. They're a very serious infection: http://www.geekstogo.com/190/what-is-a-backdoor-trojan/

Note: Please ignore any ads on the above page.

if you choose to try to have this infection cleaned, you need to get help from trained experts on a malware support forum. They're specially trained to deal with all sorts of infections.

There are quite a few such forums. MalwareByte's malware forum, and Bleeping Computer are a couple. They have pre-posting instr. they want you to follow first. However, they're usually inundated with people needing help, so there may be quite a wait. If you
do so, you'd need to use another computer to go back and forth with. They'd have you run various tools and programs, post log files, etc. It takes time.

As you may have, or will, read in that description, your PC is being controlled by bots from other infected PC's. It just gets worse the longer you're connected. This is why a clean install of Windows is the best option, albeit tedious, but so is the process
of trying to clean it. I have a backdoor Trojan (malware) :(

You could run a few malware tools to clean up what they can and then upgrade your machine to Win10

Since your machine is infected, I suggest that you use a clean machine (friend or family) to download the Win10 ISO (same edition and bit depth as the OS currently on your machine). Burn a DVD - they can't be written to again after finalizing.

    Windows 10

You upgrade Windows from the running qualifying OS. Load the DVD while you're in Windows, navigate to the drive and launch setup.

Do NOT boot the DVD - that does a clean install - you need to do the upgrade first!

Do not enter any keys during the install - the upgrade finds the qualifying key, creates and encrypts a new authentication value and stores that in firmware.

When the upgrade is finished, you can do a clean install - this time you do want to boot the DVD.

The install asked me twice for a key
    1st -Skip this
    2nd -Do this later

    Windows installed and automatically activated.
