Windows 10: I have a disk space issue. Any ideas?

The highest I see (when not playing a game and downloading something) is 25 Mbps tops. I don't believe I had this happen in the past, and there's no other programs taking disk space. Back in windows 8 I'm pretty sure I didn't have this issue, and now suddenly I do. Is there something I should change? I've deleted temporary files, stopped windows search in case it was that, also tried disabling windows defender (I have no other antivirus) and that had no effect so I turned it back on, as I expected. And there's an issue, in some games I will get freezing and low fps, and I believe it's also the disk. Is this a possible windows glitch, or is there some setting I should look at? I've tried everything I've seen online about it so far, and have found no fix yet. Edit: I turned off notifications, and now my download is tripling in it's disk usage. Believe I solved the problem, will see once I start playing a game.

My disk space is gone

Try to run theSystem Maintenance Troubleshooter.

• 
  Press Windows key + W and type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select view all on the top left corner.
  
• 
  Click System Maintenance,
  follow onscreen instructions.
  

I suggest you to run Check Disk which performs an analysis of the disk. Refer to the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click on Command prompt (Admin).
• Type chkdsk /f and hit enter.

Low Disk Space error

Hi,

I suggest you to delete the unwanted applications or games installed on the device and also perform a Disk Cleanup.

In order to delete the games or applications, which has been downloaded from the Windows Store you need to right click on the game and select
Uninstall option from the Start menu.

If the games that you are downloaded are .exe or the applications which are not downloaded from the Windows Store, you may try deleting it from the Control panel.

To do so, please follow the below steps.

• Right Click on Start Menu.
• Open Control Panel.
• Click Programs.
• Click Programs and Features.
  
• Click on the programs that you would like to uninstall.
