i have a pc at home, i use for personal and business. with a password and pin. however windows hello doesnt allow me to login to change the pin number despite administrator access. it asks me for a work/student email, which i dont have for this pc. and i go round in circles trying to reset it where every opti

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.

We appreciate the screenshot that you provided. to start troubleshooting the issue with you logins, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how login pin goes back to password:

• Click Start menu and go to Settings.
• In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Change both your password and pin one by one.

Business to personal account

Thank you for tour help, my employer gave me my work computer when i was laid off and the shut down my email account before i had set up at home and purchased the personal 365. I can not use the pin number it wont work, i can not reset it because it keeps
asking for my password to my business email which does not exist therefore telling me the password and the pin arent good. I cant get into the computer past the pin code screen to remove the address and replace it with my personal email and personal 365 info.
I was able to do my laptop but i cant do the desktop they gave me. How do i get in? Soni can change the information and how do you do it?

the pin number when you first turn on the computer on the home screen is the one i cant get past. I signed in under another user with my personal email and password And it says wrong password. Id change it but i cant past the home screen to get in to do
it so im stuck with a picture on one screen and nothing on the other display screen.

i just need to change from business to personal 365. But i cant get in to do it past the pin screen with the picture.
