    i have a strange one..


    when i am in settings for windows 10, and go to 'sound', i can see the volume shown for the microphone respond to my voice. the problem is that there is no microphone attached to my pc... i have a monitor that does not have a camera or microphone.. there are no devices hooked up to my I/O panel that have to do with sound other than the outputs to speakers.. how is my pc picking up my voice ??? thanks in advance for any ideas or help...

    Strange boot problem

    I am trying to get my head round the 6 steps above before having a go. If you can expand on them it may give me a bit more confidence. I cant lose the whole contents of my PC.
    Have attached details as you suggested.

    Strange USB-Drive Icons

    Hi, I've not looked into this at all, but looking at that folder the one that appears to contain the strange icon is
    f4e323bf-0f31-42b6-9ad6-5d5382d3fa83
    - I don't have one called 797289b8-812a-4d9e-bda5-91567fd47bc6

    Would I be correct in thinking that this ico file is the clue as to which to delete?

    And thanks- having deleted the folder it did indeed prove necessary to use Driver Booster as described. Problem solved- for now...

    Strange names showing in Network Profiles on AVG Firewall

    Some strange network names have been showing in my AVG Network Profiles list, that are not listed on the "known network" list on my windows 10 PC:

    DIRECT-MHDESKTOP-DVFUTVPmsGH

    DIRECT-XgDESKTOP-DVFUTVPmsQJ

    DIRECT-LDDESKTOP-DVFUTVPCRTH

    (my PC name is DVFUTVP)

    Some posts online seem to suggest they are something to do with "Direct Desktop Connection" although I have never used this to connect to anything, only to wifi networks (all others on the list recognised) or bluetooth devices

    Does anybody know why these could be showing up / what they are?
