Windows 10: I have accidentally entered a generic key while having activated windows 11 pro education...

So when I saw a reply post from someone else in the Microsoft support page giving generic key of windows 11 pro, I thought it would upgrade my windows 11 pro education to pro but it deactivated my windows 11 pro education and my license is windows 11 pro education, it's says to activate your windows, I want my windows 11 pro education back I forgot the key but when I searched in Google I got know how to find product key so I found the product key I don't know it's the licensed key my laptop had after manufacturing so can anyone help me with this problem and I'm not a techie I'm just a college

Windows 8.1 pro + WMC key activation

This worked for me last time with a Win 8 key.

Install Windows 8.1 and enter KMS key during setup. Once in windows change product key to my Windows 8 key. Go to add features and enter my WMC add-on key. Drink a beer to a job well done.

 

Windows 11 Pro activation key

1. Link your Microsoft account: Ensure that your Microsoft account is linked to the digital license on your device. Go to Settings > Accounts > Your info and check if your Microsoft account is listed there. If not, click "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead" to link your account.
   
2. Run the Activation Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > System > Activation, and click the "Troubleshoot" button. This will launch the Activation Troubleshooter, which can help reactivate Windows after a hardware change if your Microsoft account is linked correctly.
   
3. Enter your existing product key: If the Troubleshooter doesn't resolve the issue, try entering your existing Windows 11 Pro product key. Go to Settings > System > Activation, and click "Change product key." Enter the key you used previously to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro.

Can I move from Windows 11 Education to Home or Pro

I apologize, unfortunately, downgrading Windows from Education to Home requires a full reinstallation of the Home edition.

On the other hand, if you need to upgrade from Windows 11 Education to the Pro edition. Kindly follow the steps below.

1. Disconnect the internet connection of your PC.

2. Press Windows key + I, then go to System > Activation.

3. In the right pane click the "Change" button beside the Change product key option, then use the generic key below to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro.

Once you upgraded to Windows 11 Pro, connect your internet to the PC then use your valid Windows 10/11 Pro product key to activate the system.
