Windows 10: I have an HP Laptop 15-bw0xx running Windows 10 Build 18362 and I can't use the touchpad...

I have attempted to fix this through the regedit in this thread and it did nothing, the settings were still there after I rebooted, but the problem wasn't fixed. I've tried looking through other settings, and there are seemingly none for this specific issue. I've also updated my drivers. There seems to be no native driver software in particular with extra settings for this touchpad, but maybe I'm wrong. Could it also be some obscure keyboard setting that I can't find?

Install window 7 on inside window 10 (LAPTOP-GCAEEFJLHP Laptop 15-bw0xx).

I just purchased a new laptop that came with Windows 10 installed and included a free upgrade to Windows 10 right away. After using it for a while, I don't like it either and would like to install Windows 7 on my laptop.

Now how can i keep window 10 in a partation and want to install window 7 for rendom use. is it posible in my laptop LAPTOP-GCAEEFJLHP Laptop 15-bw0xx.

Hi, normally there would be some Synaptic processes running of course, for example




I suggest you start by creating a snapshot similar to that when your touchpad is working, then another when it is not, and compare them.

If they are the same, the problem is elsewhere.

- it might be that one or more of these processes ceases to run, and after a restart you're back to normal, for example.

The above will help to determine that.

Is there an option in Settings to disable it?

Is there a key combination on your laptop that disables the touchpad?

Are you using the touchpad software provided by HP? This appears to be the last one available for your laptop:

My Touchpad for my HP Laptop isnt working.

My laptop's touchpad isnt working and I have no idea why. It was working up until Thursday when it suddenly stopped. And now my keyboard sometimes act up and doesn't respond to anything I do. I checked the touchpad driver and it said that the Synaptics
SMBus Touchpad driver is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24) and when I try to delete and reinstall, it says the same thing. The driver says that it is plugged into PS/2 mouse port. Is there anyway that
I can fix this so I dont have to use a usb mouse anymore? My Laptop is a HP Notebook 15-bw0xx and it always had Windows 10 installed on it.
