Windows 10: I have been receiving error code 0x80070002 since July 15, 2020, Windows update KB4565503

I have been receiving error code 0x80070002 since July 15, 2020, while trying to download update Windows update KB4565503. One percent downloads, then it stops. I keep the system updated and do not understand what has happened. I know that Microsoft has changed something, but do not know how to work around it. PLEASE help. The constant attempts to download the file slows my computer. Thank you.

Error 0x80070002 when trying to update Windows

I have been having issues for months with Windows 10 updates failing due to Error 0x80070002 on my gaming laptop. The full message reads:

2019-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4503286) -Error 0x80070002.

I am currently on version 1803 (OS Build 17134.590) and I'm being told "You're currently running a version of windows that's nearing the end of support. We recommend you update to the most recent version of Windows 10 now to get the latest features and security improvements."

I have followed the instructions on Error Code 0x80070002 Fixed – Eassos Step-by-Step Tutorial but this hasn't resolved the problem. Does anybody know how to fix this?

As per the issue description you are getting error code 0x80070002 while performing backup on your computer. I would suggest you to refer the suggestion provided in the article mentioned below. Though this article is for Windows 7 but steps holds good for
Windows 10 too.
