Windows 10: I have deleted the only admin account - help!

Hi. I just bought a second hand PC running windows 10. Stupidly, I have deleted the only admin account and now I can't make any changes to anything. Can anyone tell me how to create an admin account where one doesn't already exist?

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Deleting User Accounts

If you can access the admin account through safe mode then all you have to do to remove the other account passwords is go into User Accounts in the control panel and either delete the accounts or, I'm not sure, remove the account passwords.

 

Cannot access my User Account on local machine but can access Admin account. Need help finding password but NOT reset it as it will delete saved data.

If you reset the local account password it will not delete the Saved data.

I suggest you to back up the saved data and files from the admin account and try to reset the password and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below to reset the password.

  Type netplwiz and press enter.

  Select the user account.
  
• 
  Click on Reset Password.
