Windows 10: I have lost my Bluetooth On/Off Toggle Switch

Lost my On/Off Toggle for Bluetooth

Last year whilst I was on 8.1 before my upgrade to Windows 10, I noticed that the On/Off Toggle had disappeared – see screenshot (taken when it was on 8.1).

Now I am on Windows 10 the toggle still has not reappeared.

I definitely had the On/Off option, but I think it disappeared after a routine Windows 8.1 update last year, but I cannot be sure.

Some people suggested that I should delete all the Bluetooth software on my computer, then reboot and the software will be reinstalled correctly. I have not done this because of the fear that once deleted the software to gone forever. I dont have copies of this software and it seems logical that if I delete it, then its gone.

I am using Dell Wireless 1705 Bluetooth, Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator, Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator - see Device Manager Screenshot. To turn off I now have to go into Device Manager and disable it.

My Driver is Qualcomm Atheros Communications, ver 10.0.1.1 dated 28-07-2015

I can Disable/Enable the driver, but still no toggle otherwise the Bluetooth works fine.

Any suggestions.

Suggestions to increase Bluetooth Functionality in Windows

I need to make a suggestion:

I have a bluetooth headphone. I use it both with my computer (which has a bluetooth dongle) and my andriod phone. Here's my idea. I would like to be able to toggle off the connection to the bluetooth headphone so I can switch the sound to the
desktop speakers and vice-versa On the android phone, I am able to turn off the bluetooth connection just by a toggle button. Now a toggle button to turn off bluetooth on the pc would be handy, but I also have my printer hooked up to the bluetooth
(the wi-fi radio on my printer died, HP sucks!), thus not helping me.

1. Give us the the ability to switch the audio output. bluetooth or local speakers

2. Give us the ability to toggle certain bluetooth devices on or off.

3 Give us the ability to toggle the bluetooth radio on or off. (This one shouldn't be too hard, have the toggle switch disable the driver)

Microsoft, please implement this and you would make many paying customers happy.

 

Bluetooth on Win 10 desktop

I am currently setting up my new desktop which came with Win 10 Home pre-installed.

Can I just have confirmation that the absence of a On/Off toggle for Bluetooth in the Settings is deliberate for desktop?

Or is it an error?

I have Win 10 on my laptop and the toggle switch is available to switch Bluetooth off. However, on the desktop, Bluetooth seems to be prepetually trying to find items to pair with.

(Note: I have looked at other forums and tried disabling the Bluetooth adaptors, all to no avail).

I have some Dell Inspiron 15 Notebooks and the Bluetooth on them is associated with the Wi-Fi adapter, if it is not on or working neither will be the Bluetooth. Out of 3 Dells I upgraded to Win10 only 1 needed new Bluetooth drivers from Dell. I just put the Service Tag number in at Support | Dell Deutschland and looked at the list, Dell had added a statement that Win10 was supported. But then there's more than one model of the Inspiron 15.
