Downloading via Windows update is a problem. I have limited internet so grabbing the ISO through the update tool is not an option. Got the 1903 image from a friend. Just need to know what I have to do so I can keep all my current settings and files. I'm not doing a reinstall, just an upgrade.

Best way to OS to iso to install?!

Norton ghost can make ISO's of a HDD but I would just suggest making a whole image and placing it on a thumbdrive cause its faster to install instead of useing a DVD drive.

 

Cannot update PC from build 1803

Just finished updating.

The long time pending update ended up being build 1809, I am a bit surprised as I was expecting to see 1903. The update went smoothly, so thank you everyone for all the suggested steps.

After restarting I checked for updates several times and there is nothing else available so it looks that this PC is up to date then?

If the build 1809 is OK to keep I don't really need anything else, at this point my problems are solved. This is an old computer so if I have another 2-3 years from it I will be happy.

Or should I still attempt to install 1903 via image?

 

Need ISO maker

I tried imgburn followed step by step and it sucks ...burned an image supposed to be ISO endend up in UDF ..not auto executable and scraped a dvd for it. Gonna try alcohol thx
