Windows 10: I have unplugged a drive on my laptop and my steam games, Hearts of Iron IV's launcher...

How do I change applications to see the drive letter which is invalid to C: which is the system drive? I have tried the disk management and computer properties but nothing worked. I remember I fixed it a long time ago by using a command in CMD to substract and use the real drive letter instead of the invalid on

Problem with a game on steam.

I've been trying to play Hearts of Iron IV on steam recently and it's given me a "Steam runtime communication error." I've followed many steps given to me by Paradox Interactive support (the company that owns HOI4) and our final "diagnostic" was making a new user profile on windows where it turns out to work perfectly fine. That left me (and paradox support) to believe it was a windows user issue. What do I do? What can I do?

For clarification; I have done a fresh install of both the game on steam and steam itself removing ALL files related to the game and most files for steam.

 

Icons from game launchers (Steam/Epic/uPlay/etc) are blank and don't work

Hey, not 100% what catagory to put this in, but the shortcut icons from game launchers don't work and are blank for me. They all end in .url.

I've rebuilt my icon cache, and did troubleshooting steps with Steam (verifying game files, can't remember others), but it never seems to work. Ironically, only the Microsoft Store icons work, but they are a live tile or something, not quite the same thing.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
