Windows 10: I just bought Minecraft for Windows 10, can't install it in my PC find device issue.

Hi everyone, my problem here:


I'm trying to install Minecraft for Windows 10 starter pack and when I try to download it it says "It looks like you don’t have any applicable device linked to your Microsoft account" which is false.


If I go to my MS account I can see that I bought the game, it says that it belongs to me. But I click on install and it takes me to the store and there is no option to install the game, just buy it again.


I already tried reseting the store and what not. Im getting really anoyed here. Cant even get a refund. Good job Microsoft!


I only managed to install a test version of the game, it works but tells me to buy the full game, AGAIN!


please help, no idea what to do.

New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
