Windows 10: I keep deleting unworkable Windows Update and Windows keeps installing it!

Windows Update results in a black screen with cursor with no desktop or controls to repair, Ctrl.Alt,Delete+Shift.Restart repair tools will not work due to not accepting CORRECT password. I have tried ALL of the suggestions in the forums that list: 1 Black screen with cursor, 2 Personalized Settings Not Responding AND Microsoft Account Password Not Recognized. All to no avail - I manage seven Windows computers 5 are Win 10 and they update without this behavior. THIS is the ONLY standard no hacks HP Retail Machine loaded with Intuit software for financial duties - absolutely MUST work. I must keep these updates OFF.


Behaviors:

a the uninterruptable update takes a really long time 24-48 hours hanging at 89% for most of the time.

b reboots to limited control I have are likewise lagging - long delays from selects, clicks and enter commands.

i.e. commands to bring up Task Manager IF I can get it take up to two hours to appear on screen.

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
