Windows 10: I need black bars in Windows 10

My screen on my laptop is dead, about an inch on the left side. Huge mofo calculus book killed it in my backpack. So, I need the often hated black bars from games, in Windows. How can I achieve this? Intel integrated GPU and GeForce GTX 960M.
