I believe my C drive SSD, which has Windows 10 installed is failing. It is a 7 year old 120GB PNY CS900 SSD, I have never ran a chkdsk on my PC before. The whole system is 7 years old. I get blue screen error probably 3-4 times a month. I am currently typing this from this PC.Intel i7-9700k - Z390A-PRO - 16GB RAM - 1x 120GB PNY900 SSD 7gb left on drive, windows downloaded on this 2x 500GB SAMSUNG 870EVO SSD both with half left on the drives 1x 1TB SAMSUNG 870EVO also with half storage leftI cannot open search, I'm able to use programs pinned to task bar and file explorer, however window

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Migrating a Windows 10 installation to a new SSD drive

Before I ask my question, I've read
    this post
so I understand the basic procedure.

My exact situation however is that I intend to keep the existing drive with Windows on it installed, but just transfer my Windows installation to a new SSD that I plan on installing. What do I do with the old installation once Windows is installed on the
new SSD because there will be stuff still on the existing drive that I want to keep on there? Is it easier to migrate the entre contents of that drive to the new SSD (it's a 500GB drive and I have less than that on my current HDD) and format/partition to clean
that HDD once that is done? If so, how?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I did the Diskpart step that SWI2 explained in post #14 and rebooted, but I still see drive D having the system label.
