Windows 10: I/O error status of 0xc000009c

Does anyone know the origin of this problem and/or how to fix?


This I/O message seems to result in my PC running extremely slowly despite repeated rebooting.


The message appears to be generated by explorer.exe--Application Error


The instruction at 0x00007FF8B6BC557C referenced memory at 0x00000000A4F0008. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000009c.


Click on OK to terminate the program (doesn't work).

We appreciate all the information you shared and your efforts towards resolving this issue. We just isolated that this is not caused by default settings or basic device drivers, since the issue is not present in Safe Mode. It’s possible this is due to any
third party drivers on your machine. Let's try to resolve this by performing the following steps.

• Uninstall and reinstall all drivers on your PC.
• Check the Windows Update History and manually install the updates.
• If the issue still persists, perform an SFC scan on your PC. Refer to this

• If it's not successful, proceed in running the DISM or

I/O error status of 0xc000009c

None of this worked. Every time I tried to manually install updates it said something like "could not install no files were changed. My computer wont let me do any of this.

 

Issue

I'm getting an error status as " the required data was not placed in memory because of i/o error status of 0xc000009c" please help me
