After my computer black screens i always checked the event viewers window logs under system and always got the same error and critical events such as event 41: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. also event 1001: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 0xffffd284ba4a1

how do you reinstall games that we bought the game disk for but no longer have but are in our profile under recently played list, or can we play/reinstall games played recently in our profile without game disk ?

 

Steam games recent list does not update

The recently used program list for the Steam computer game client never updates. It says recent but it misses actual recent games that I've played and lists games that I haven't touched for months or years. How can I investigate the reason for this list not updating? It works just fine for other programs on the Start Menu. I tried searching for information but the word "update" in the search string returns results about Steam and Windows updates and not about the recent list updating.
