Windows 10: I restarted my computer and suddenly all my games ran at low fps

i was playing risk of rain 2 with probably too many mods, so the game wouldnt start. thats not super relevant, but when i restarted my computer while risk of rain 2 was still trying and failing to load thats where it started. first, the scale was on the 125% Recommended option, so i changed to back to 100%. then i noticed all my games, from risk of rain 2 to the Minecraft launcher and probably the game too to Super Auto Pets, all of them ran at like 20 fps. i checked task manager and nothing unusual was there. same thing when i launched the games, they took about the normal amount of memor

Low fps in games

I suddenly had low fps in all my games so i tried fixing it and ran into several problems

sfc doesnt work i get the error Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service, DISM doesnt work, i have low fps in all my games, i cant do an update because i get the Error 0x800703e6.

What i tried:

1.checked for disk and ram errors

2.Reset Windows components

3.Checked Windows installer(auto, manual, demand)

4.checked for malware or virus'

5.updated graphics drivers

6.checked system temperatures

All these didnt help me. Any suggestions

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account to replace yours which may be corrupted. Then if necessary continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

Windows 10 and LOW FPS in games

Are you facing this issue with a particular game or with all games?

I suggest you to go into the games settings and check if the FPS is set to low. IF its low then change it into high.

Also see if the Monitor screen resolution matches the game screen resolution. You can check it by going into the setting of the game and check.
