Discus and support I seem to have been locked out of my access to Real Time Protection on Windows Def Sec... in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I may have picked something up. I have scanned for viruses using the Msoft tool and Malwarebytes. There were some issues. I did have a VPN still...     I seem to have been locked out of my access to Real Time Protection on Windows Def Sec...


    I may have picked something up. I have scanned for viruses using the Msoft tool and Malwarebytes. There were some issues. I did have a VPN still sitting in the list of progs from an old company I worked for. I also have recently downloaded a couple of video files but on reflection I think the auto update has been out of action for some time. I have two odd programs on boot CG87 and YONK, both of which I have disabled on Boot via TM. I also deleted some Firewall settings which might have caused an issue. I am about at my limit of knowledge. Help appreciated. Thanks.

    Windows Defender Real Time Protection

    I did all the step and delete the MsMpEng.exe but still it doesn't turn on Real Time Protection any suggestion please??

    Real Time Protection

    Real-time protection for which security program, wont turn back on? Are you referring to Windows Defender? You should not have both Defender and AVG installed and running.

    Suggest you completely remove AVG. Then run the specific removal tool, found in below thread, to clear out remnants. It's absolutely necessary to use the tool in addition to normal uninstall.
