Windows 10: I stopped sppsvc

I have a decade old laptop and is working fine till date. Being an old laptop, I really hate the noise from fan and I am afraid about heating of processor, so I regularly check applications usage about CPU and memories. Recently the software protection service was always using around 40% of the CPU and would turn my laptop fan to jet engine. So for a change I went to registry editor and set the registry value of start of sppsvc service to 3(meaning manual). But then after using for few hours the Activate windows watermark appeared, thought it's a genuine Windows. So I was looking for a way if I could limit the usage of the sppsvc to you know like just 10% of the CPU usage or just remove the watermark without activating the sppsvc service or just limit the time sppsvc service to be active like only be active for around 5 Min then stop the service thing. If these are possible from registry editor I would appreciate the help. Otherwise I would love to hear other opinions as well. Thank you.

sppsvc wont start

I assume you are getting Access denied (Error 0xC00005 or similar) when running it?

Follow these steps:
Boot to Advanced Startup Options in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

Open command Prompt and run the commands as below.

Diskpart to get the Windows drive letter and Dism using that drive letter.





Assuming that the component store is not corrupted as well. If this does not work change source to a Windows USB/DVD.

1. Right click on the start button and select Command prompt with admin.

2. Now type net start sppsvc
and press enter and see if it helps to start the service.

I accidentaly deleted sppsvc

I accidentaly deleted sppsvc's folder from the registry, now my note is saying that my windows is not original and I cannot do anything...
