    Completely Uninstall and Delete Files for Game That Was Installed Through The Microsoft Store

    Hi, I'm trying to completely uninstall and delete any files for Gears of War 4 from my C drive. It's taking up a ton of space (over 100gb). Though I've read online that you can simply go to the Start Menu and right-click on the app and say "uninstall,"
    this action isn't removing any of the files associated with the game from my drive, since the space on the drive remains unchanged after I attempt this. I've tried several times to "uninstall" this game, but every time, the space on my drive doesn't clear
    up. I can't simply go to Programs and Features and uninstall the program because it's not listed there. How do I completely remove this game from my drive? Why doesn't space clear up on my C drive if I'm clicking "uninstall" from the app in the Start Menu?

    Uninstalled Windows Store Game (Prey) on C Drive and the space is still occupied

    Hi Gabriel Caddy,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    It might be that some leftovers are still present for the Prey game on your computer, so please follow the below steps and check if you can delete those leftovers.



    Go to C:\Windows\Prey and select everything in the Prey folder and press the
    Shift and Delete keys to delete these files permanently.



    Also, you may want to go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Saved Games\Arkane Studios\Prey and delete the files present in
    Prey folder by pressing the Shift and Delete keys.



    1. Also, check if you have the Prey folder contents by pressing the
      Windows and R keys > Type shell:appsfolder > Hit
      Enter.
    2. Then, search for the Prey game folder and press the
      Shift       and Delete keys to delete the folder contents.


    If you want to free up more space, then you can follow the steps mentioned in
    Free up drive space in Windows 10 and free up some more space on your computer.
