  1. I want to point a shortcut back to the file it used to point to

I am running Windows 10 on a desktop.

I recently did some work on my system and seem to have messed up a shortcut on my desktop. I hope someone can suggest a way to understand what happened and, mostly how to get it fixed. It used to point to a folder holding my photos from this year. Now when I click on the shortcut I get the message "The item {file name} that the shortcut refers to has been changed or moved so this shortcut will no longer work properly."

I don't remember making any change to the shortcut itself not do I remember deleting or moving or renaming the file name of the folder in question. Is there any way to get the file name reset to the original file name on the assumption that I changed the name of it w/o meaning to?

FYI, I did have a Restore setpoint that I went back to but this situation apparently this occurred prior to that.

Thanks for any thought on how to get to the bottom of this.

    :)

Double check starting at the post below to make sure that you used that steps in the tutorial in the link below, but used the instant restore point shortcut here instead.
