Windows 10: I was trying to find out the directory structure of windows 11 Pro as I'm worried something...

I took a directory listing of c:\windows in one file and every directory below that in another. My intuition tells me something's not right. I'll attach the two files and please let me know if something is amiss. I just uninstalled Norton 360 and about to wipe the drive and start over. But I'd like to know what is expected with a clean install on W11Pro. thank you.I can't see where to attach a file so I;ll paste in the first c:\windows -- showing hidden.. and pretty sure this laptop wasn't sold as a virtual machine -- much less WaaS. How Does Windows 10/Pro Directory Structure Work?

The Windows 10/Pro Directory structure seems to be unnecessarily complex. That is, why are there folders directly under (visually) This PC that are also in Local Disk C:? Also, the Libraries function
seems unnecessary inasmuch as there is also a Quick Access function that is easily implemented and works fine. When OneDrive and its synced Cloud is added, the structure becomes even more complicated. On top of that, there are TWO OneDrives -- one integrated
in Windows and one that's an app. So, what is the rationale of the Windows 10/Pro Directory structure?

I really hate the windows directory structure. It is so confusing due to being able to access files under several folder names. I would like a simple file structure with no shortcuts and starts with C: drive. Then everything falles under c:. Allow the
user to set up any shortcuts they may want.

Is there any third party software to do what I want?

Yes, I understand the purpose of Quick Access and how it works. Quick Access makes sense, works well, and is easy to implement.

Yes, I understand Libraries point to files on disk too and seem to work well. However, libraries are more difficult to implement compared to Quick Access and seem do the same thing. However, I don't understand what you attempted to explain about file content,
not completed indexing, and descriptions and displaying.

Apparently, your explanation of OneDrive is about the integrated OneDrive. I don't understand the significance of that OneDrive having two pointers and paths to arrive there.

Unfortunately, you didn't provide any explanation of the OneDrive app and why it's needed.

Likewise, you didn't provide any explanation of the Local Disk C: directory structure and why it's needed. According to my experiment this morning, OneDrive syncing doesn't work with files in the Local Disk C: directory but does with the directory structure
directly under (visually) This PC.
