Windows 10: ICC profile wont save

Hey guys,

everytime I try to use my ICC profile the display color changes for a second and reverts back to the default color. Im using the MAG27CQ from MSI and all the necessary settings to use own ICC profiles are set. My OS is Win 10 and I use DisplayPort.
I also tried running the ICC profile on DisplayCAL, same issue.

Appreciate every kind of help. Please tell me if any additional information is needed.

CCC Profiles that disappear

yes, i save the profile, and it is saved and in the list of the profiles....I use it when I launch the game....but after a few days it desappear (???)

ICC Profiles Don't Apply

No matter how many times I try to apply ICC or ICM profiles, they do nothing at all. Is there an extra step that I need to do or something? I already checked the box for "Use Windows Calibration"

Can't seem to use ICC profile

Well lads.

As some of yee know, I've recently bought a new laptop and I appear to have a slight issue that I just don't understand.

XMG have provided an ICC colour profile for this display but I see no difference at all!
I have tried changing it to other profiles and none of them have any effect on displaying colour.

I understand that ICC profiles don't work for full screen games but it's supposed to work while in windowed mode or borderless fullscreen mode? But when I do this, I notice no difference in colour and games continue to look a bit bland compared to what I'm used to! It looks the same as my older 60% gamut laptop that my gf currently owns.

Perhaps someone could enlighten me on what to do?

Try the following guide (specifically the last part):

With Windows 7

Save your ICC profile in the following location: \Windows\system32\spool\drivers\color

You can change your computer's color management settings by opening "Color Management" in Control Panel.

Tick the "use my settings for this device" check box

Press "add" at the bottom and locate the relevant profile. You may need to choose "browse" from the profiles pop-up to find the profiles you have added in the relevant folder.

The profile will appear in the middle pane. If more than one is visible you can select the default using the "set as default" button

You will also need to enable the profiles gamma correction.

Go into the advanced tab. You need to select "use Windows display calibration" but it is greyed out initially.

Click "change system defaults" and a new window pops up which looks the same as the previous one

Click on "advanced" tab and you should be able to tick "use Windows display calibration" from there. You should see a change in the screens gamma as the corrections from the profile are loaded.
