Windows 10: If I hadn't kept my email the same since the beginning of the internet I'd ditch hotmail

I loathe MS when I realize how many of the things they do are super duper stupid.


I spent now a long time going over my hotmail emails and deleting the ones I didn't want to keep, both in sent and inbox.

The next thing I know, the sent folder which I had organized is empty.


How I loathe MS, being a very detail oriented and smart person, I notice so much stupidity in the way they do things.

They have lots and lots of artificial stupidity algorithms, but they are not the only offenders, Apple is even worse.

Google is the least bad.


Yesterday I noticed a new awful behavior in WMP, it seems they did away with the behavior of going back to a movie you

just played, and now both Fwd and Rwd are random when shuffle is on. I hope that was a glitch and that the MS cesspool really didn't modify the behavior after a forceful long update, which I would not allow to apply if I knew how long it would take.


Hope at least they are 'man-up' enough to not erase this rant.

Spam in my email... how do I stop it?

Right you are mrsemi....I use hotmail on the forums and only really go to two forums. TPU and AnandTech. I get all the Viagra, Penis Enlargement, Pain Meds, Lasik Eye surgery, even friggin Facebook,(wouldn't go there if they paid me) the list is endless. I keep putting in the domain address to block senders (my blocked domain list is as long as your arm) the spammers just change the address and I keep getting the same crap. *Frown

 

my windows phone stopped syncing with hotmail

I wish Microsoft would say when there is a problem. I have tried everything suggested on the internet and no go. It has worked fine for 2 years. My phone is a Samsung Focus Windows phone. I called Samsung and they said it's a hotmail problem and to call
them. I googled hotmail called the listed number, kept getting hung up on so tried the hotmail chat. They asked for $100 to help me with my problem!!!!!!

The two-step verification emails show up in my inbox but I added a rule to mark the domain name safe a long time ago (verified that "techpowerup.com" is still in the safe sender list).
