With over, 500 pictures.I made a, terrible mistake. Which is why, I'm here.I have, two USB drives. With the pictures, backed up on both.This computer, has a solid-state drive.And a one terabyte, internal drive.All, my pictures. Were on, the internal drive. B:For other, reasons. I wanted to, reformat my computer.I wanted everything, wiped clean. After, reformatting.Since all, of my pictures. Were backed up on, two USB drives. both plug

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    Repair HyperV Machine Boot (VHDX)

    In the morning I feel my suggestions were a bit over-complicated; the easiest way should be:
    - add second vhdx into the same virtual machine
    - install win10 on it using ltsc iso
    - add bootmenu entry for rescued system using easybcd.
    Other steps are unnecessary.
