Windows 10: IFA 2019: Lenovo introduces smart features on new Yoga laptops

At this week’s IFA event in Berlin, Lenovo introduced exclusive smart features that adapt to users’ performance needs on the new 14-inch Yoga C940 and Yoga S740: Super Resolution upscales video up to FHD 1080p on Windows Media Player [1] and Q-Control (named for device keys used to toggle modes), that has the potential to dynamically boost your PC’s battery life. Lenovo Yoga C940

The 14-inch Lenovo Yoga C940 is the new 2-in-1 convertible laptop redefining smarter performance and design with its all-metal chassis and clever built-in features, like TrueBlock Privacy shutter, Windows Hello biometric authentication, and garaged pen with silo charging and Windows Ink. Enable Lenovo’s exclusive Q-Control [3] by pressing Function-Q to shift into Intelligent Cooling Mode for your PC to auto-adjust performance and optimize battery life based on tasks – up to 17.5 hours [4] in FHD and up to 10.5 hours [4] with a UHD display.

With a full range of intelligent features, the 14-inch Lenovo Yoga S740 is designed to help people save time. Powered by up to 10th Generation Intel Core processors, it has a hands-free IR camera login. That IR camera can also detect your absence after a few seconds and enable instant log-off, or if you’re watching a video and need to walk away for a few minutes, your PC is intuitive enough to pause the video and automatically resume upon your return. You can even opt to blur your background during video calls, so your cat doesn’t make a surprise appearance during your next online brainstorm. This device will also have a new child safety setting that reminds kids to limit their screen viewing time in one sitting.

The new Lenovo Yoga C940 (15-inch) is a 2-in-1 convertible with 9th Generation Intel Core processors, as well as a notched webcam bump on its lid for better grip, a garaged pen with silo charging, TrueBlock Privacy Shutter and Windows Hello biometric fingerprint authentication for confident security.

The Lenovo Yoga S740 (15-inch) comes stacked with up to 9th Generation Intel Core i9 mobile processor and more powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 GPUs, making this all-metal, ultra-slim laptop a portable and multi-tasking powerhouse. Combined with theater-like specs like a 15-inch FHD HDR display and a TrueBlock Privacy Shutter, this laptop also has a longer-lasting battery. Lenovo Reveals the Yoga 730 and Yoga 530 2-in-1 Laptops with Alexa Support

At MWC this year, Lenovo announced two new additions to their Yoga line of laptops. The Yoga 730 comes in 13-inch and 15-inch models while the Yoga 530 is only available in the 14-inch flavor. They feature up to Intel's latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with the Yoga 730 having the option of coming with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 discrete graphics card. Apart from conventional input methods, consumers can also interact with the Yoga 730 through voice since it comes with built-in Alexa support. The integrated far-field microphone allows Alexa and Cortana to listen and respond to the user with relative ease.

The Yoga 730 is equipped with a UHD IPS touchscreen display while the Yoga 530 is fitted with a FHD IPS touchscreen. Lenovo is also offering the optional Active Pen 2 with up to 4096 levels of sensitivity for those users who love to write, draw, or jot down notes on their laptops. The new Yoga laptops are thinner and lighter than ever too. The 15-inch Yoga 730 comes in at 1.89 kg and the 13-inch model at 1.12 kg. The 14-inch Yoga 530 weighs 1.6 kg. The 13-inch Yoga 730 with Lenovo Active Pen 2 included starts at €999 (VAT included) and the 15-inch model with Lenovo Active Pen 2 included starts at €1,099 (VAT included). The 14-inch Yoga 530 costs around €549 (VAT included). All three models should be available soon on www.lenovo.com and select retailers.

New Lenovo premium Yoga laptops, ThinkPad X1 Extreme and more at IFA

At IFA, Lenovo unveiled more of its most premium Yoga laptops, including the world’s thinnest and lightest dual screen device and the world’s first dual display laptop with E Ink [1], one that has integrated 4.5G LTE Advanced Pro [2] connectivity and the flagship Yoga laptop with a never-before-seen Rotating Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos Speaker System [1]. Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme

Lenovo also announced the latest addition to the premium ThinkPad X1 laptop portfolio, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme. IFA 2019: Lenovo unveils consumer lineup with intelligent features

Ahead of the annual IFA consumer electronics show, Lenovo unveils its latest consumer lineup for 2019. Here’s a first look at the intelligent features set to debut on these new Lenovo laptops, monitors and an all-in-one desktop.

Two new 13-inch Windows 10 Lenovo IdeaPad laptops provide up to 10th Generation Intel Core mobile processors and a memory upgrade of up to 16GB DDR4 to get you through all your online tasks—giving you more time to binge-watch your favorite shows with up to an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU.

At just 2.8 pounds, the 13-inch Lenovo IdeaPad S340 is designed to fit conveniently in your bag. With the Dolby Audio Speaker System, front-facing microphones and quieter, intelligent fan thermals – your laptop stays charged longer with up to 8 hours [1] of battery life and stays cooler than before.

The ultra-slim, all-aluminum Lenovo IdeaPad S540 is a step up with a high-quality QHD display option, Dolby Audio Speaker System and your choice of three hues It has RapidCharge [3], plus Cortana and Alexa smart voice capability [4]. It uses Windows Hello and its motion-sensing IR camera for smarter interaction and hands-free user log-in with biometric authentication.

An AMD Ryzen CPU option is also available on the 24-inch model, and a 10-point touchscreen is optional on either display size.

The new mainstream Lenovo L28u Monitor delivers 28 inches of vivid color with a 4K In-Plane Switching (IPS) wide-angle display, pixel-perfect resolution and ultra-thin bezel. If your device has AMD graphics [7], eliminate image stuttering and screen tearing for smoother gameplay with AMD Radeon FreeSync.
