Windows 10: IIS continuously disabled after Updates

We have a situation where we have IIS enabled on a Win10 computer as required by the software it primarily runs. What we are running into is that everytime there are windows updates IIS is disabled. Recently, we set up a brand new machine to troubleshoot and the same thing is happening. Has anyone else run into this? Has anyone found a fix?

Intel Updates Core 2 Quad Q9550 to E-0 Stepping

We continue our Monday news list with another Intel story that brings to our attention information concerning the company and more specificly its 2.83GHz Core 2 Quad Q9550 chips that will move from the current C-1 to the newer E-0 stepping. The updated chips will start selling on August 22nd, featuring the following changes:

• New SSpec and MM numbers for the converting products
• CPUID will change from 0x10677 to 0x1067A
• Package change to Halide free package

Apart from that, the new stepping CPUs will not include any other changes. Of course, like most new stepping parts a BIOS update will be needed.

Add IIS 6 features on Windows 10 1909 results in error 0x800f0922

I understand that you are receiving an error when trying to add IIS 6 features in Windows 10 1909 build.



Let us try a couple of troubleshooting steps and see if that helps. I would suggest you to try running the
Windows Update
Troubleshooter and see if that helps.



You can also try disabling the anti-virus program and see if that helps.



Note:
If you disable the security software or firewall, the system might be temporarily exposed to security threats and risks. Please make sure to turn it on after performing the steps.



If this doesn’t work, you can try running the DISM command and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned
below:

1. 
   Type command prompt in the search bar on the Taskbar.
   
2. 
   Right click on the command prompt icon and select Run as Administrator.
   
3. 
   Type/paste the following commands and hit Enter:
   
   dism /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:IIS-IIS6ManagementCompatibility /all
   
   dism /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:IIS-Metabase /all
