I'm an Adult (Microsoft family features) [IMG]

Ever since update KB4338819 dated 10/07/2018 I have been presented with this appearing on my computer screen after booting up, Windows 10 home Version 1803 build 17134.167,I have searched for remedies on how to correct this to no avail,The only solution that worked was to "sign in with a local account"which to me is a fudge job,as one user said in an response to this "It feels as the Microsoft have Hi-Jacked my computer"which I feel he is right,I have no wish disable Family features as I have a 10 year old grandson that occasionally uses my computer within his own account, the reason I feel that it is this update causing the problem is it only started to appear directly after this was installed, any help would be welcome,

    :)

    Microsoft Family Features Adult Account

I had been using Chrome for over a year and suddenly it was telling me I needed permission from the adults in my family for me to keep using. I told it to send an email to my parents and they both said neither of them got an email and neither of them set
up a Microsoft Family Features account. So I went into the account and it had my main account listed as a Child and a backup account that I haven't used in almost a year as the Adult, and I cannot remember what the password to that account is and Microsoft
can't/won't recover it for me because it claims I'm not providing it enough information. I need a way for either myself to change this from my "child" account or have Microsoft do something to fix this, as I am stuck using Edge and having many many problems
    with the program.

Family Features Blocking Chrome on Adult Account

    Hello,

Best that we could suggest here as an easy fix is to have the Family feature administrator remove your account from the list. Feel free to check out
this link from our support website for steps on how to do so.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

How to delete an adult account in the Family Settings.

    Hi,

To resolve your issue, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

    • As an adult in the family account, sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Under Your family, click
      Remove
      .
    • Click the child account you want to remove, and click Remove.
    • You will get an email confirmation once the child has been removed from the family.
Note: If you removed a Child account, it will be tagged as an "Orphaned account" and you will need to attach another "Parent account".

    Regards.
